About
Welcome to Wealth Is Boring - a personal finance blog that helps you build wealth over the long term by using time-tested, common sense approaches.
I will moderate the discussions and I’ll be your guide here at Wealth Is Boring. First, let me say from the get-go, I am by no means a professional finance adviser and my opinions and those of our valued contributors should not be the only factors in basing your financial decisions. While I’d be honored and humbled, you really should consult with a professional adviser when making important financial decisions.
So Why WIB Blog?
Over the years, it dawned on me that I was blowing every dime I managed to earn on consumables. So, I said to myself it would probably be wise to start saving and investing so I could take care of my family and retire with at least a shred of dignity at some point sooner than later in life.
During the course of my wealth-building research, I found out that I was particularly drawn to common sense wealth-building principles such as frugality, debt elimination, regular disciplined saving & investing, and living within one’s means. Not content to horde this information all to myself, I felt compelled to share the knowledge I had gained with others through a blog, naturally named: Wealth Is Boring.
